Darving Irizarry joined St. John’s Residence four years ago as the Director of Programs and Operations. He is now the Administrative Director of Programs and Operations.

Darving chose his path in social work so that he could have an effect on the lives of many young people and help strengthen their families while ultimately helping young persons live the best lives they can.

His responsibilities include overseeing Quality Improvement, Mental Health & Medical Services, and Operations.

He has a knack for analyzing practice performance and developing strategies to improve program performance. He has championed the creation and successful implementation of the quality assurance/improvement program in addition to staff training initiatives. Darving also serves as co-chair of the strategic planning committee for the affiliated agency (St. John’s and Little Flower Children and Family Services of New York).

Darving earned a B.A. in Sociology from SUNY New Paltz and an MSW from Fordham University.
