Latoya Hanson has over 16 years' experience working with at risk youth. She joined St. John's Residential Treatment Center (RTC) in 2006 as a Case Planner.
She then transitioned to Intake Director for the RTC and Diagnostic Reception Center (DRC). In 2011 Latoya became the Assistant Director of the Social Service department for RTC and Non-Secure Placement (NSP). In May of 2014 she was promoted to Program Director for the Permanency Planning Department for the RTC where she currently manages Permanency Specialist, Aftercare, Independent Living Coordination and our new "Elevation to Success Program" which provides Youth Success Coaches, Education and Employment Specialist for our young men. Prior to St. John's Latoya has worked in a shelter for survivors of Domestic Violence as well as a Youth Development Counselor with girls in a Group home setting.
Latoya holds a B.S in Sociology from Molloy College and a MSW from Adelphi University.
