Luz currently oversees the Social Service Department and Aftercare program at Non-Secure Placement. Her team works on case management for the youth in their care. They work with families to ensure a successful transition back home which includes, but not limited to, referrals for community based programs and connections to prosocial activities in the community. They also develop individualized education plans for each youth. Luz's aftercare team monitors and supports the youth at home to provide that continuum of care our youth definitely needs.
Luz currently has her license in Social Work. She earned her Bachelor's from SUNY Albany and Master's at Hunter College, Silberman School of Social Work.
