The Summer Camp Program

For years, the July camping trip at Pompanuck Farms in Cambridge, New York has been a wonderful experience for all. This time no tents, but yerts. Do you know what a yert is? Check it out. In addition to the always popular water activities, campfire sessions, and team competition, a new outing was possible this year: a visit to the monastery of New Skeet, where the monks train German Shepherd puppies. St. John’s campers were given the opportunity to socialize with the puppies, a new litter that will soon be sold. One of the monks explained his work and answered questions.

As usual, Scott and Lisa Carrino and Tim and Wally Rodier turned out meals that got rave reviews (not always heard about camp food). Check out some of the pictures of the funfilled experience.
